CT scans can take clear pictures of slices of body parts and hence can create visual images of areas of interest for doctors. It is a very useful technique for the dctors as well as patients to diagnose diseases that otherwise cannot be diagnosed using normal x ray techniques.
Ct scans are frequently used for evaluation of brain, neck, spine, chest, pelvis and sinuses.
